Benefits
Ccap is an exceptionally simple and easy to use system created to control the diameters of capsules. Due to its small size, it can be placed on a laboratory bench top or even close to the production process.
Contrary to the “pass/fail system” which is more time consuming and with the need of manually record the diameter, the Ccap system can operate with a single footswitch that obtains the diameter and sends it to the interface software. After placing the bottle in the “cup”, the user presses the footswitch and the measured value is immediately recorded.
In addition to receiving the measurements, the interface software also allows the insertion of a number of useful information to the test such as: batch, supplier, operator, capsule type and technical specifications. The acceptance limits defined by the user are represented according to the chosen capsule type; like this the identification of non-conformities is easy.
Each test is recorded through the help of a database which allows queries to previous tests. All the information is represented on a table or on graphic form and can later be printed or exported to Microsoft Excel.
This software also allows the integration of statistical process control software such as EGITRON SPC.
