MicroMed Project approved by QREN

MicroMed is a project promoted by EGITRON and co-promoted by Universidade de Aveiro and it has now received the final approval by QREN / NSRF (Quadro de Referência Estratégico Nacional - National Strategic Reference Framework).

The goal of this project is to create a prototype which allows for an easy and fast way  to measure hygiene and fungal levels in solid food products and packaging materials without resorting to microbiology laboratory infrastructures. The final product is to be used in laboratories and industrial environment.
When applied in production lines, it should detect non-conformities and implement correcting actions in real time.

This project is funded by the NSRF's Incentive Scheme for Research and Technological Development.
